বঙ্গোপসাগরে ইঞ্জিন বিকল হয়ে পড়া একটি ট্রলারসহ ২৬জন জেলেকে উদ্ধার করেছে নৌবাহিনী। মঙ্গলবার কক্সবাজার বাতিঘরের ২৭ নটিক্যাল মাইল দূর থেকে তাঁকে উদ্ধার করা হয়।
বাংলাদেশ নৌবাহিনীর এক প্রেস বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে জানানো হয়, গত মঙ্গলবার নৌবাহিনীর জাহাজ ‘বানৌজা শহীদ মহিবুল্লাহ’ বঙ্গোপসাগরে টহল কার্যক্রমের সময় ‘এমভি তাজমিনুর রহমান’ নামক মাছধরা ট্রলারটিকে ইঞ্জিন বিকল অবস্থায় কক্সবাজার বাতিঘরের প্রায় ২৭ নটিক্যাল মাইল দূর থেকে উদ্ধার করে । ট্রলারটির গতিবিধি অস্বাভাবিক মনে হওয়ায় নৌবাহিনীর জাহাজ ট্রলারটির কাছে অগ্রসর হলে নৌ-সদস্যগণ বিপদগ্রস্ত জেলেদের সংকেত দেখতে পায়। পরবর্তীতে, নৌ সদস্যগণ অতি দ্রুত অসহায় জেলেদের উদ্ধার করে। ক্ষুধার্ত জেলেদের উদ্ধারের পরপরই নৌবাহিনীর জাহাজের সদস্যগণ তাদের প্রয়োজনীয় খাবার, বিশুদ্ধ পানি ও জরুরি প্রাথমিক চিকিৎসা প্রদান করে।
পরবর্তীতে নৌবাহিনীর জাহাজ উদ্ধারকৃত ব্যক্তিদের ও মাছ ধরার ট্রলারটিকে নিরাপদে তীরে নিয়ে আসে ও তাদের পরিবার ও মালিক পক্ষের কাছে সকলকে হস্তান্তর করা হয়। জেলেদের তথ্যসূত্রে জানা যায়, ট্রলারটি ৩০ সেপ্টেম্বর ২০২৫ এ মাছ ধরার উদ্দেশ্য সমুদ্র গমন করে এবং ৩ অক্টোবর তীরে ফেরার সময় ট্রলারের ইঞ্জিন বিকল হয়ে তারা মাঝ সমুদ্রে ভাসতে থাকে। উল্লেখ্য উদ্ধারকৃত সকল জেলে মহেশখালী উপজেলার বাসিন্দা।
