আন্তর্জাতিক মুদ্রা তহবিলের (আইএমএফ) এর একটি প্রতিনিধি দল আজ শনিবার ঢাকায় আসছে। রোববার সকালে প্রতিনিধিদলটি অর্থ উপদেষ্টার সঙ্গে বৈঠক করবেন।
অর্থ মন্ত্রণালয় সূত্রে জানা গেছে, ঋণ কর্মসূচির আওতায় ৪৭০ কোটি মার্কিন ডলার অর্থ ছাড়ের আগে বিভিন্ন শর্ত পর্যালোচনা করতে প্রতিনিধি দলটি ঢাকায় আসছে। তারা রবিবার থেকে টানা দুই সপ্তাহ সরকারের বিভিন্ন দপ্তরের সঙ্গে বৈঠক করবে। এ সফরে আইএমএফের দলটির সঙ্গে অর্থ বিভাগ, জাতীয় রাজস্ব বোর্ড (এনবিআর), বিদ্যুত্ বিভাগ, বিদ্যুত্ উন্নয়ন বোর্ড, বাংলাদেশ এনার্জি রেগুলেটরি কমিশন (বিইআরসি), জ্বালানি ও খনিজ সম্পদ বিভাগের বৈঠক হওয়ার কথা রয়েছে।
আগে ১৭ এপ্রিল প্রতিনিধি দলের সদস্যরা অর্থ উপদেষ্টা সালেহউদ্দিন আহমেদের সঙ্গে সর্বশেষ বৈঠক করবেন এবং বৈঠক শেষে প্রেস ব্রিফিং করবে সফররত আইএমএফের প্রতিনিধিদল।
