চট্টগ্রামের জঙ্গল সলিমপুর এলাকায় সংবাদ সংগ্রহ করতে যাওয়া দুই সাংবাদিকের ওপর হামলার ঘটনায় সীতাকুন্ড থানায় মামলা দায়ের করা হয়েছে। হামলায় আহত ‘এখন’ টেলিভিশনের ব্যুরো প্রধান হোসাইন জিয়াদ বাদী হয়ে মঙ্গলবার রাতে এ মামলা দায়ের করেন। মামলায় ৫জনের নামোল্লেখসহ মোট ২০-৩০ জনকে আসামী করা হয়েছে। গত রোববার সকালে এই হামলার শিকার হন এখন টেলিভিশন এর বিশেষ প্রতিনিধি ও ব্যুরো চিফ হোসাইন জিয়াদ ও ক্যামেরাপার্সন পারভেজ রহমান। ওই দিন স্থানীয় চিহ্নিত সন্ত্রাসীরা তাঁদের ওপর দেশীয় অস্ত্রশস্ত্র নিয়ে হামলা করে এবং সিএনজি টেক্সীতে তুলে অপহরণের চেষ্ঠা চালায়। এসময় সন্ত্রাসীরা টেলিভিশনের ক্যামেরা ভাংচুর, মোবাইল সেট, টাকা, ব্যাংকের ডেবিট কার্ড, ক্যামেরার মেমোরি কার্ড ও অন্যান্য জিনিসপত্র ছিনিয়ে নেয়।
এদিকে, এ ঘটনার প্রতিবাদে ও হামলাকারীদের গ্রেফতারের দাবিতে বিক্ষোভ সমাবেশ, মানববন্ধন, পুলিশ প্রশাসনকে স্মারকলিপি প্রদান সহ বিভিন্ন আন্দোলন কর্মসূচী পালন করে যাচ্ছে চট্টগ্রামের সাংবাদিক সংগঠনগুলো।
