চলচ্চিত্র নির্মাতা চয়নিকা চৌধুরীর বিরুদ্ধে গ্রেপ্তারি পরোয়ানা জারি করেছেন আদালত। চেক ডিজঅনারের একটি মামলায় মঙ্গলবার (৬ মে) ঢাকার সপ্তম যুগ্ম মহানগর দায়রা জজ মো. বুলবুল ইসলামের আদালত এ আদেশ দেন। বাদীপক্ষের আইনজীবী আব্দুস সালাম হিমেল এ তথ্য জানিয়েছেন।
আসামি চয়নিকা চৌধুরীর মাধ্যমে প্রযোজক রাশেদুল ইসলাম রিয়াজ ‘জীবন সুন্দর হোক’ নাটক নির্মাণের প্রস্তুতি নেন। এ জন্য ২০১২ সালের ২৪ আগস্ট তাদের মধ্যে চুক্তি স্বাক্ষর হয়। চুক্তি অনুযায়ী, চয়নিকাকে দুই লাখ ৩০ হাজার টাকা দেন বাদী। একই সঙ্গে ২০১২ সালের ৩০ অক্টোবর চয়নিকা বাদী রিয়াজকে দুই লাখ ৩০ হাজার টাকার চেক প্রদান করেন।
তবে আসামি চুক্তিবদ্ধ হয়েও নাটক নির্মাণ করেননি। আসামি চয়নিকার সঙ্গে যোগাযোগ করলে তিনি নাটক নির্মাণ করতে অপরাগত প্রকাশ করেন। তখন টাকা ফেরত চাইলে তিনি ২০১৩ সালের জানুয়ারি চেক নগদায়ন করতে অনুরোধ করেন। পরবর্তীতে একাধিকবার টাকা নগদায়ন করতে গেলে চেক ডিজঅনার হয়। টাকা ফেরত চেয়ে আইনি নোটিশ পাঠানো হলেও তিনি টাকা ফেরত দেননি।
২০১৩ সালের ১৪ মে মামলা করেন প্রযোজক রাশেদুল ইসলাম রিয়াজ। এ মামলার পর ২০১৪ সালে ২ জুন আদালতে আত্মসমর্পণ করে জামিন নেন চয়নিকা চৌধুরী। ওই বছরের ৭ আগস্ট মামলাটি বিচারের জনু ঢাকা মহানগর দায়রা জজ আদালতে বদলি করা হয়।
২০১৫ সালের ১০ ফেব্রুয়ারি ঢাকার সপ্তম যুগ্ম মহানগর দায়রা জজ আদালত তার বিরুদ্ধে অভিযোগ গঠন করেন। আদালত সুত্র জানায, মামলার বাদী প্রযোজক রাশেদুল ইসলাম রিয়াজের জেরার জন্য দিন ধার্য ছিল মঙ্গলবার। তবে আসামি চয়নিকা চৌধুরী আদালতে হাজির হননি। তারপক্ষে আইনজীবী সময় চেয়ে আবেদন করেন। তবে আদালত সময়ের আবেদন নামঞ্জুর করেন। একই সঙ্গে তার জামিন বাতিল করে গ্রেপ্তারি পরোয়ানা জারি করেন। পাশাপাশি এ মামলায় যুক্তিতর্ক উপস্থাপনের জন্য আগামী ২৬ জুন দিন ধার্য করেছেন আদালত।
