চট্টগ্রামে ব্রাশ ফায়ারে ব্যবসায়ী খুন: প্রতিবাদে সড়ক অবরোধ

চট্টগ্রামের হাটহাজারী উপজেলার মদুনাঘাট এলাকায় আবদুল হাকিম নামে এক ব্যবসায়ীকে প্রাইভেট কারের মধ্যে ব্রাশ ফায়ারে হত্যা করেছে দুর্বৃত্তরা। মঙ্গলবার সন্ধ্যায় এ ঘটনা ঘটে। নিহত আবদুল হাকিম রাউজান উপজেলার বাগোয়ান ইউনিয়নের পাঁচখাইন গ্রামের বাসিন্দা এবং হামিম এগ্রো নামে একটি ব্যবসা প্রতিষ্ঠানের সত্ত্বাধিকারি। তিনি রাউজানের সাবেক এমপি গিয়াস উদ্দিন কাদের চৌধুরীর অনুসারী বলে স্থানীয় সূত্রে জানা গেছে। এ হত্যাকান্ডের প্রতিবাদে রাউজানে চট্টগ্রাম-রাঙ্গামাটি সড়ক অবরোধ করেছে বিএনপি ও যুবদল কর্মীরা।
জানা যায়, বাগোয়ানের পাঁচখাইন গ্রামের বাড়ি থেকে আবদুল হাকিম প্রাইভেট কারে চট্টগ্রাম শহরে যাচ্ছিলেন। তাকে বহনকারী কারটি মদুনাঘাট ব্রীজের পশ্চিম পাশে হাটহাজারী অংশে পৌঁছলে পেছন থেকে কয়েকটি মোটরসাইকেল যোগে আসা দুর্বৃত্তরা কারটির গতিরোধ করে এলোপাতাড়ি ব্রাশ ফায়ার করে ঘটনাস্থল থেকে দ্রুত সড়ে পড়ে। এ সময় কারের ভেতরে থাকা হামিম এগ্রোর সত্ত্বাধিকারি আবদুল হাকিম সহ অপর তিনজন গুলিবিদ্ধ হয়। স্থানীয়রা তাদের উদ্ধার করে শিকারপুর ইউনিয়নের কুয়াইশ এলাকার এভারকেয়ার হাসপাতালে নিয়ে গেলে সেখানে আবদুল হাকিম মারা যান।
চট্টগ্রাম উত্তর জেলা যুবদলের সহ- সভাপতি সাবের সুলতান কাজল ঘটনার সত্যতা স্বীকার করে জানান, এ ঘটনায় আহত অপর তিনজন বর্তমানে এভারকেয়ার হাসপাতালে চিকিৎসাধীন আছেন।
হাটহাজারী মডেল থানার অফিসার ইনচার্জ (ওসি) মনজুর কাদের ভুঁইয়া সন্ধ্যা সাড়ে ছয়টার দিকে ঘটনার সত্যতা স্বীকার করে গণমাধ্যমকে জানান, আমরা ঘটনাস্থলে ফোর্স পাঠিয়েছি। তবে এখনো ঘটনার বিস্তারিত জানা যায়নি।
এদিকে, আবদুল হাকিমের নিহতের খবর ছড়িয়ে পড়ার পর রাউজানে চট্টগ্রাম রাঙ্গামাটি সড়কের বিভিন্ন স্থানে অবরোধ করে গিয়াস কাদেরের অনুসারী বিএনপি ও যুবদলকর্মিরা। তাঁরা সড়কের টায়ার জ্বালিয়ে সেখানে বিক্ষোভ করতে থাকে।
প্রসঙ্গত, রাউজানে বিএনপির গিয়াস কাদের গ্রুপ ও গোলাম আকবর খোন্দকার গ্রুপের দ্বন্দ্বে গত এক বছরে অন্তত দশ জনের বেশি নেতাকর্মী খুন হয়েছেন। এ হত্যাকান্ডের নেপথ্য কারণ জানা না গেলেও দলীয় অন্তর্কোন্দলের জের ধরে এ ঘটনা ঘটতে পারে বলে অনেকে ধারণা করছেন।
