ফেসবুকে নিজস্ব একাউন্ট থেকে দেওয়া পোস্টে মুশফিক লিখেছেন, ‘আজ থেকে আমি ওয়ানডে ক্রিকেটকে বিদায় জানাচ্ছি। বৈশ্বিক পর্যায়ে আমাদের অর্জন কম। তারপরও যখনই আমি মাঠে নেমেছি শতভাগেরও বেশি দেওয়ার চেষ্টা করেছি। গেল কিছুদিন আমার জন্য খুবেই চ্যালেঞ্জিং ছিল এবং আমি অনুধাবন করেছি যে, এটাই আমার ভাগ্যে লেখা আছে। আমি আমার পরিবার, বন্ধু এবং সমর্থকদের ধন্যবাদ দিতে চাই, যারা ১৯ বছর আমাকে সমর্থন দিয়ে গেছেন।’
