হিন্দুস্তান টাইমসের এক প্রতিবেদনে বলা হয়েছে, জনপ্রিয় ক্রাইম থ্রিলার শো-এ খুব শীঘ্রই একটি বড় মোড় দেখতে পাবেন দর্শকেরা। যেখানে মারা যাবেন এসিপি প্রদ্যুমন, আর তার মৃত্যু দিয়েই ‘সিআইডি’ থেকে পুরোপুরি বিদায় নিচ্ছেন এসিপি প্রদ্যুমন অর্থাৎ অভিনেতা শিবাজি সাতম।
এদিকে অভিনেতার ‘সিআইডি ২’ ছাড়ার খবরে তোলপাড় বিনোদন জগৎ। সনি এন্টারটেইনমেন্ট তার এই বিদায়ের খবর প্রকাশ করে লিখেছে- ‘ভালোবাসার অনেক স্মৃতি রেখে গেলেন এসিপি প্রদ্যুমন। এমন স্মৃতি কখনোই ভোলার নয়।’ পোস্টটি প্রকাশ হতেই মাথায় বাজ পড়ার উপক্রম তার ভক্তদের। অনেকে ধরে নিয়েছেন- না ফেরার দেশে পাড়ি দিয়েছেন এই অভিনেতা। পরে অবশ্য বিষয়টি স্পষ্ট হয়। তিনি শুধু অভিনয় থেকেই বিদায় নিচ্ছেন। কিন্তু সেটাও, মেনে নিতে পারছেন না তারা।
এসিপি প্রদ্যুমন চরিত্রটি একটি আগামী পর্বে বোমা বিস্ফোরণের দুর্ঘটনায় মারা যাবে। পর্বটির শুটিংও ইতোমধ্যে শেষ। খুব তাড়াতাড়িই এটা সম্প্রচারিত হবে।
