স্টুডেন্ট ফার্স্ট, বাংলাদেশ ফার্স্ট’ শ্লোগান নিয়ে শীঘ্রই নতুন ছাত্র সংগঠন আত্মপ্রকাশ হতে যাচ্ছে। তবে এই সংগঠন কোনো লেজুড়বৃত্তিক ছাত্ররাজনীতি করবে না বলে জানিয়েছেন উদ্যোক্তারা।
নতুন এই ছাত্রসংগঠনের ঘোষণা দিয়েছেন বৈষম্যবিরোধী ছাত্র আন্দোলনের কয়েকজন সমন্বয়ক। তারা জানিয়েছেন, দুই দিনের জনমত জরিপ করে সংগঠনের বিস্তারিত ঘোষণা করা হবে।
তারা বলেছেন, ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়সহ সারাদেশের কলেজ, মাদরাসা ও বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে দুই দিন অনলাইন ও অফলাইনে জনমত জরিপের মাধ্যমে নতুন ছাত্রসংগঠনের ব্যাপারে সিদ্ধান্ত গ্রহণ করা হবে।
সোমবার (১৭ ফেব্রুয়ারি) বিকেলে ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের মধুর ক্যান্টিনের সামনে এক সংবাদ সম্মেলনে এসব কথা জানানো হয়।
সংবাদ সম্মেলনে বৈষম্য বিরোধী ছাত্র আন্দোলনের অন্যতম সমন্বয়ক আব্দুল কাদের, আবু বাকের মজুমদার, হাসিব আল ইসলাম প্রমুখ উপস্থিত ছিলেন।
আবু বাকের মজুমদার সংবাদ সম্মেলনে বলেন, ‘আমাদের কাঙ্ক্ষিত সংগঠনের নাম ও আত্মপ্রকাশের তারিখ সম্পর্কে এখনও চূড়ান্ত সিদ্ধান্ত গ্রহণ করা হয়নি। দুই দিন অনলাইন ও অফলাইনে জনমত জরিপের মাধ্যমে এই সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া হবে।’
তিনি বলেন, এই সংগঠন কোনো লেজুড়বৃত্তিক ছাত্ররাজনীতি করবে না। এর স্লোগান হবে ‘স্টুডেন্ট ফার্স্ট, বাংলাদেশ ফার্স্ট’।
নতুন এই ছাত্র সংগঠনের বিষয়ে বৈষম্য বিরোধী ছাত্র আন্দোলনের সমন্বয়ক আবদুল হান্নান মাসুদ বলেন, ‘নতুন রাজনৈতিক বন্দোবস্তের জন্য নতুন ছাত্ররাজনীতি দরকার। এজন্য নতুন ধারার লেজুড়বৃত্তিহীন ছাত্ররাজনীতিকে আমরা স্বাগত জানাই। যারা নতুন ছাত্রসংগঠনের সঙ্গে জড়িত হবে তারা বৈষম্যবিরোধী ছাত্র আন্দোলন থেকে পদত্যাগ করে যাবে।’
